Building a Beacon for Democracy

Democracy Can Deliver for US
American constitutional democracy is in a vicious cycle. Ineffective, unresponsive institutions fuel disengagement and distrust (and vice versa). We need to flip the switch – empowering people with the knowledge, capacities, and relationships for civic life and renovating our democratic institutions and infrastructure to be responsive, inclusive, and effective.

Leading Our Democracy’s Renovation
Partners In Democracy is bringing together a community of civic leaders across the democracy ecosystem dedicated to manifesting a representative democracy that delivers freedom and justice for all Americans.
For us, building a healthy democracy starts at home in Massachusetts – the birthplace of American democracy – where we are pioneering a holistic, state-based approach to strengthening civic culture and renovating democratic institutions.
Partners In Democracy is organizing ‘Democracy Renovators’ in peer states and at the federal level to collaborate around a common agenda for collective impact.
Taking A Holistic Approach
Driving state-wide collaboration across the democracy ecosystem, including civic and history education and engagement, bridge building, digital civic infrastructure, and policy renovation in elections, campaign finance, and legislative process. Our portfolio of programs includes these partners.
